Capernaum Trust, a Christian organization which was established in 1996 by Dr. Strive Masiyiwa and Deaconess Tsitsi Masiyiwa to give assistance to disadvantaged and orphaned children who are disadvantaged by virtue of the fact that the main breadwinner in the immediate family unit is deceased. Our vision is to transform the lives of orphaned children into History Makers through education, training and realization of their God-given purpose. Once the children join the C.T family and we affectionately call them History Makers.
As a Christian organization, our intervention model, targets the transformation of the History Makers in Spirit, Soul and Body with the Word of God. The Trust believes that the Word of God works and is effective in the renewing of the mind, causing the body and the soul to align with God’s plans. Evangelism and spiritual empowerment is therefore a key element in our operations.
Capernaum Trust interventions include assisting the children with education scholarships which cover school fees, levies and other related costs needed at school/college, equipping with spiritual, social and life skills training including career guidance, assisting critically needy History Makers with food packs and medical assistance, establishing Resource Centres and Libraries. The Centres provide access academic, spiritual books and internet facilities nationwide. The Trust works with over 41 000 orphaned children around the country in an effort to raise an army of leaders on a mission to transform the continent of Africa and the World at large.
